On welcoming Anthony to the Board, BENS Chairman Mark Gerencser noted, “Anthony carries the legacy of his father, Stanley Weiss, BENS’ founder, but his appointment is grounded in his own accomplishments and the unique value he brings. His business knowledge and deep expertise in critical minerals enhances our ability to address emerging national security challenges. Critical minerals are fundamental to scaling advanced defense technologies and modernizing infrastructure—two areas at the core of our mission. Anthony’s strategic vision and industry insight will be instrumental as we continue to elevate the national security dialogue and leverage private-sector expertise to solve these complex challenges.”

Critical minerals play a pivotal role in the manufacturing of defense systems, energy storage solutions, and infrastructure modernization. The global demand for these materials underscores their importance to the national security landscape, particularly as the United States seeks to strengthen supply chains and maintain technological leadership. Anthony Weiss’ deep experience in this vital sector positions him as a key contributor to BENS’ efforts in fostering public-private partnerships and ensuring the resilience of America’s national security. His appointment to the Board underscores BENS’ commitment to leveraging the private sector’s unparalleled best practices to secure and advance the nation’s interests.
