On Wednesday, February 28th, BENS Board Member and Co-Founder of Principal to PrincipalKristi Rogers, convened a half-day roundtable at BENS’ headquarters. The session focused on the increasing demand for critical minerals and rare earth elements essential for facilitating the clean energy transition. The event gathered senior officials from Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mozambique, South Africa, and Tanzania.

BENS Chicago recently organized a USSS Ransomware Simulation for the NextGen cohort. One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of Dai Tran, the incoming Special Agent In Charge of the US Secret Service Chicago Field Office. Hosting this special event was BENS member David Cusick, Head of Global Information Security at Zurich North America. We extend our sincere gratitude to ATSAIC Joe Kefer for crafting such a dynamic simulation. A valuable resource shared during the event was the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Stop Ransomware initiative.
