Gen Ray and a BENS delegation traveled to Stuttgart, Germany, for meetings with USAFRICOM leadership, and then to Benin and Cote d’Ivoire in Africa. They met with sr. government, military, and business leaders, as well as US defense and diplomatic representatives in both countries. Collaborating closely with USAFRICOM, the US Department of State, and others, BENS will produce a formal report offering business-informed insights and recommendations for US government stakeholders.
On Wednesday, January 3rd, BENS hosted Secretary Frank Kendall of the Air Force, where members gave him direct feedback as he develops the Air Force’s strategy for Great Power Competition. The discussion focused on AI’s role in air superiority, modernization needs, and budgetary constraints affecting the Service’s ability to surpass geostrategic competitors.
