Washington D.C. Metro Members Breakfast Discussion

BENS Members in Washington, D.C. gathered for a discussion between Sam Meek, Co-Founder and CEO, Sandboxx, and Tim Barrett, Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Strategic Communications. The discussion focused on “Communications Opportunities and Challenges for the Intelligence Community.”

BENS member Major General John King, USANG (Ret.), the Georgia Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner spoke about his background as an Atlanta Police Officer and his time as the Chief of Police for the City of Doraville. General King answered questions regarding the focuses and concerns of his office, as well as his views on Ukraine, Russia, the War on Drugs and the U.S. Southern Border. The group also welcomed new BENS member Freddie Kim, Founder & CEO of MilSpec Talent.

Heino Klinck, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for East Asia, former DASD for East Asia, Heino Klinck addressed BENS members in Houston and San Antonio on the topics of China, PRC President Xi Jinping, and great power competition between the U.S. and China. Klinck provided members with an understanding of the procedures of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, its results and impact, and his perspective on China going forward.
