A BENS delegation visited the U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Area this week to gain insights into the operations and capabilities of the USCG. The group embarked on a thrilling ride around the San Francisco Bay aboard a medium response boat, experiencing the agility, speed, and maneuverability of the vessel while observing various points of interest along the coastline. Members also toured USCGC StrattonUSCGC Tern and the USCGC Polar Star in dry dock, gaining firsthand insights into the vessels’ capabilities, equipment, and maintenance procedures.

BENS Washington, DC members welcomed Stanford University physics professor Dr. Benjamin Lev in May for an in-depth conversation on quantum technology. The discussion, moderated by BENS President & CEO, retired General Tim Ray, focused on the latest advancements in quantum technology and highlighted how Stanford’s collaborations with the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Office of Naval Research are enhancing the military’s quantum capabilities.
