First Army Commander Lieutenant General Mark Landes invites BENS members to join him and his senior staff in Chicago from January 13-15 for the Command’s annual staff conference.
As First Army collaborates with the Army National Guard and Army Reserve to deliver mission-ready units to Combatant Commands, this event offers a unique opportunity to contribute your industry expertise and insights directly toward addressing some of the Army’s key organizational challenges.
Over three days, you’ll have the chance to participate in modules on critical topics impacting the Army, to include recruiting top talent and implementing software solutions that enhance collaboration across the Service.
BENS Chief Operating Officer, retired Air Force Major General Chris Craige, will also join us for dinner on January 14, underscoring BENS’s commitment to support national security leaders as they tackle human capital challenges.

- Module 1. Organizational Marketing, Recruiting, & Talent Management
Capture lessons learned from the Army Enterprise Marketing Office (AEMO) and private sector on how to effectively attract, recruit, and manage talent.- Module 2. Mobilization Exercises Through [Re]Constitution
Develop the division of effort for various large-scale exercises and further define the requirements for [Re]Constitution operations.- Module 3. METL of the Organization
Develop the mission essential task list (METL) that supports the First Army Mission, informing the future stance and structure of the organization.- Module 4. Single Pane of Glass – Blue
Define and describe the data system platform to effectively market and integrate across the Army for cross-collaboration and further advancement of the Python software.
