Please join BENS for a conversation on Wednesday, March 27th as we host Michael H. Huneke, a partner in the Sanctions, Export Controls, and Anti-Money Laundering and the Anti-Corruption & Internal Investigations practice groups at Hughes Hubbard & Reed. Mike will discuss Sanctions, Export Controls, and How Officers & Directors Can Best Protect Their Companies (and Themselves) in the Current Enforcement Environment.
Mike’s practice focuses on internal investigations of potential sanctions evasion or corruption. Mike also advises clients on sanctions and anti-corruption due diligence in the context of mergers or acquisitions, as well as the design and implementation of compliance programs, internal controls, and training or communications. Mike has received Lexology’s Client Choice Award for Investigations-USA for 2022 and for 2023. He was one of four Hughes Hubbard attorneys to receive Global Investigations Review’s “Most Important Development in the Practice or Law of International Investigations” in 2020 for his representation of Airbus in its investigation and settlement for violations of anti-corruption laws and the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Mike received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Mike is admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and New York.
