Discussion w/Jamie Kraut

Join us for an important conversation with Ms. Jamie Kraut, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Middle East and Asia in the Office of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes (TFFC) at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Jamie is responsible for the department’s policies and strategies to combat illicit financing threats in both regions. Jamie served for four years as the Middle East Director in TFFC and for one year served on detail to the National Security Council in the Counterterrorism Directorate as the Director for Iranian-Sponsored Terrorist Organizations. She served for five years as a policy advisor in TFFC covering Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey. Prior to joining Treasury, Jamie worked at the NYPD Counterterrorism Bureau in the Terrorism Threat Analysis Group and at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) as the Research Assistant in the Europe Program. Jamie received a B.A. from Tufts University and a M.A.L.D. from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. She is an adjunct lecturer at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), teaching a graduate course on “Leadership, Ethics, and Decision-Making.”
