Discussion w/NY Cyber Task Force

Please join BENS for a luncheon conversation with the New York Cyber Task Force on Wednesday, July 12th. The task force is preparing to release its latest report, Bridging the Trust Gap, later this year and looks forward to a preliminary discussion of their findings and recommendations with BENS members.

Our speakers will be Jason Healey, Senior Research Scholar at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and Dr. Erica Lonergan, Assistant Professor at SIPA.

The report examines recent high-profile cyber incidents – SolarWinds, Colonial Pipeline, and Shields Up – to evaluate the private sector’s perspective on operational collaboration. It uses case studies to examine key gaps and identify points of leverage to improve how the government and industry work together. The report provides implementable policy recommendations to improve trust and operational collaboration between industry and government at scale.

The New York Cyber Task Force is a collaborative organization that brings together leading experts from academia, industry, and government agencies. Its composition reflects its uniquely New York voice in the cybersecurity field.

Members of the task force last spoke with BENS members virtually in October 2021 about their previous report, Enhancing Readiness For National Cyber Defense Through Operational Collaboration.

Cost: $35
