July 11, 2023 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm America/Atlanta
Join us for a virtual discussion with the faculty of Joint Special Operations University (JSOU). This discussion will coincide with an in-person visit being conducted by BENS SE. JSOU team members will brief members on the University’s mission — Then, Now, and Next – and how they are chartered to prepare special operations forces (SOF) professionals to address threats in the context of strategic competition and irregular warfare. Secondarily, and the reason why I hope you will consider this invitation, JSOU faculty would like to pose 2 fundamental questions to our members for discussion:
- How can industry continue to support national security priorities?
- What are the barriers to private sector engagement?
The goal of this discussion is to assist JSOU faculty and staff in implementing relevant and strategic materials that enhance and educate the SOF community, as well as inform future course material.
JSOU was formally organized in 2000 as a Department of Defense educational activity modeled after corporate universities. JSOU’s mission is to prepare special operations forces (SOF) professionals to address strategic and operational challenges, arming them with the ability to think through problems with knowledge, insight, and foresight.
