Business Executives for National Security (BENS) and MassBio are pleased to invite you to an exclusive briefing by the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology (NSCEB). This event is designed to offer insight into the Commission’s vital work in biotechnology and its impact on U.S. national security, while also laying the groundwork for how BENS members will contribute to this critical topic.
Event Overview: The NSCEB, established under the 2022 NDAA, focuses on strengthening U.S. leadership in biotechnology by addressing key policy, infrastructure, and workforce development challenges, while encouraging public-private investment and international collaboration—especially as China accelerates its advancements. With its final report set to be delivered in March 2025, the Commission seeks to share its findings, and the potential role biotechnology will play in enhancing national security and economic growth.
NSCEB Seeks Input from Industry Leaders: As the Commission finalizes its report, it has expressed a strong interest in gathering input from industry leaders from our membership. They are seeking insights on key topics such as biotechnology policy, infrastructure, workforce needs, and ways to foster public-private collaboration. Your feedback could directly shape the Commission’s recommendations and help ensure the U.S. remains a leader in biotechnology innovation and security.
