Lunch Discussion with Georgia Tech’s Student Model NATO Team

As we continue to build our partnerships throughout the region, our partners at Georgia Tech have asked for BENS members to provide input for the Student Model NATO team as they prepare for their national competition in February 2026.

During this event with BENS, the team will:

  • present their proposed NATO arguments as representatives of Poland
  • open a discussion on their arguments with our members
  • seek to gain a better understanding of the business aspects of international policy

Come hear the great work these students have prepared, and please come ready to engage! You do not want to miss this lunch.

More About the Team
The Model NATO student organization was established at Georgia Tech’s Sam Nunn School of International Affairs in 2022. The organization’s aim is to simulate the proceedings of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, which culminates in an annual conference in Washington, DC.

The students meet, study, and prepare for half the academic year to represent the Nunn School and Georgia Tech at this conference. While at the conference, students engage in pre-conference study and briefings at embassies of NATO member states in Washington, DC, which provides a unique opportunity to study the role and activities of NATO as well as the military, political, and security issues facing the Alliance.

Through the simulation, students come to understand the capabilities and constraints that shape NATO countries’ policies in determining matters of collective security. Apart from dealing with a prepared agenda, students grapple with a contemporary crisis. In past years, the students have represented Montenegro, the Netherlands, and the United States at this conference.

This promises to be yet another thought-provoking and educational event. Space for this event is limited so please don’t hesitate to register.
