Luncheon on Building the Air Force of the Future

Join an insightful luncheon discussion on developing Air Force strategies for the future with Lieutenant General David Harris, Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Force Futures. This discussion will be led by BENS Chief Operating Officer, retired Major General Chris Craige, USAF.

As the HAF A5/7, Lt. Gen. Harris will share more about his work developing future Air Force strategy and operational concepts, integrating force design, and overseeing strategic assessments through wargames and workshops–with the end goal to ensure tomorrow’s Airmen can prevail in future conflicts.

Speaker Background
Lt. Gen. Harris received his commission from the University of Alabama in 1993. A master navigator and basic parachutist with over 2,500 flying hours, he has supported a range of operations, including Deliberate Force, Allied Force, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, CJTF – Horn of Africa, and Inherent Resolve. He has commanded at every level — squadron, group, and wing — and held senior leadership roles at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Joint Special Operations Command, and Air Force Special Operations Command.

Prior to his current assignment, Lt. Gen. Harris served as Deputy Commander, Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central), and as Deputy, Combined Forces Air Component Commander, U.S. Central Command, Southwest Asia.
