Please join BENS NY for a luncheon conversation with Major Gen. Johnny K. Davis, Commander, U.S. Army Recruiting Command where we will discuss recruiting challenges and the continuing need to build a force of the future.
U.S. Army Recruiting Command provides the core strength for America’s Army: the young men and women who will complete their tours of duty and contribute to our Nation’s defense. The command is responsible for manning both the Active Army and the Army Reserve. Recruiting operations are conducted throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and at U.S. facilities in Germany and Asia by approximately 10,900 Soldier and civilian recruiters.
Major Gen. Davis was commissioned from New Mexico Military Institute through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Early Commissioning Program. He has served with the 24th Infantry Division, the 82nd Airborne Division, The Old Guard, the 101st Airborne Division, Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Wounded Warrior Program, U.S. Forces Korea, and others. He has deployed to Kuwait – Operation Southern Watch; Sinai, Egypt; Haiti; Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-06; Afghanistan – Operation Enduring Freedom 10-11; and Iraq Operation New Dawn 11.
As a general officer, Major Gen. Davis served with 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command, U.S. Army Futures Command, and U.S. Army Cadet Command. He assumed command of U.S. Army Recruiting Command in October 2022.
