Please join BENS for a luncheon with BENS President and CEO, General Timothy M. Ray, USAF (Ret.). General Ray assumed his new role on September 1, 2023, and is looking forward to this opportunity to share the new Roadmap for the organization. The BENS Roadmap acknowledges there is unprecedented complexity in today’s global security environment. The US Military, an institution whose capacity has not been updated since the 1990s, is transitioning from a War on Terror to existential competition with autocratic regimes intent on revising the world order. Economic, technological, and geopolitical issues are hard at play. BENS has a unique opportunity to fill this critical need at the right time in history… Our expertise is in demand. General Ray will discuss this and answer questions about recent events and the state of our national defense.
General Tim Ray, USAF (Ret.) most recently served as Commander of Air Force Global Strike Command. Concurrently, he served as the Commander of Air Forces Strategic-Air, United States Strategic Command, with a focus on strategy and operational excellence. In his last position in the Air Force, General Ray led the nation’s Air Force Strategic Strike forces in daily operations in support of national objectives globally. He directed modernization efforts for command and control, aircraft, intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), infrastructure and support equipment. Prior, General Ray served as the Deputy Command, US European Command where he was the Deputy Commander for all US Joint Forces in Europe. He was responsible for joint, combined operations, planning and exercises to ensure US and coalition military readiness and regional stability all during Russian efforts to destabilize Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
