Securing the Nuclear Supply Chain in an Era of Increasing Energy Demand

As part of our Strengthening Supply Chains campaign, join BENS President & CEO General Tim Ray, USAF (ret.), National Nuclear Security Administrator Brandon Williams, and Centrus Energy President & CEO Amir Vexler for a timely panel to examine the opportunities and challenges for the U.S. nuclear industry. BENS Director Andrew Hersh will moderate this discussion focused on how to meet the dramatically-increasing domestic and foreign demand for energy.

BENS members are invited to join this discussion virtually or in person to explore current efforts to revitalize the U.S. nuclear industry through technological innovation, public and private investment, and international cooperation as it faces competitive pressures from Russia and China. These nations control of over half of the world’s uranium enrichment capacity, providing them a significant global market advantage and creating supply chain risks for the U.S.

During this panel, speakers will address:

  • implications of accelerating domestic and international nuclear energy development;
  • challenges posed by material scarcity and the need to build at scale; and
  • strategic actions necessary to maintain a secure and reliable supply chain to support nuclear energy’s contribution to meet U.S. energy needs.

In-person guests are invited to arrive early for coffee and networking at 10 a.m.
