Mary M. Boies

Mary Boies is Counsel to Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, where she specializes in antitrust and corporate commercial litigation.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Stimson Center and chairs its Audit Committee. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations where she served on its Board of Directors and chaired its Committee on Nominations and Governance. She is on the Leadership Committee of the Dean’s Council of the Harvard Kennedy School.
She has served on the Board of MIT’s Center for International Studies and the Board of Visitors that oversees the U.S. Air Force School of Advanced Air and Space Studies; the Air Force Research Institute, the Air War College, the National Security Space Institute and the Air Force Institute of Technology. She was a member of the Board of Directors of MBNA Bank, a public Fortune 200 Company, before its merger with Bank of America.
She served a term as member of the Committee established by President Dwight Eisenhower to conduct nonpartisan, professional peer review of federal judicial nominees.
Previously, she was founder and managing partner at Boies & McInnis LLP. She has served as Vice President at CBS Inc, General Counsel of the U.S. Civil Aeronautics Board, Assistant Director of the Domestic Policy Staff at the White House, and Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce.
She founded and later sold MaryBoies Software Inc., a publisher of children’s educational software. Titles include Top of the Key and Slam Dunk Typing. They were recognized among PC Data’s Top 10 titles and Newsweek Magazine’s Top Picks. Titles were translated and distributed into Spanish, Italian, French, German, Korean, Japanese and Chinese markets.
She and her husband of 40 years live in New York.
