Seth serves as a Vice President within the Programs team at BENS where he focuses on bringing BENS member insights to bear on problems within the Department of Defense.
Before arriving at BENS, Seth was an Associate for the Combating Terrorism Center at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, as well as an Instructor in the Department of Social Sciences. His research focused on examining the impact of counterterrorism efforts and the use of hostage-taking and kidnapping by terrorist groups. Seth also coordinated the GEN Wayne A. Downing Scholarship program which provides select U.S. Army Officers the opportunity to attend fully funded graduate education programs.
Seth has served for over 17 years as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, with time both in the active duty and national guard. He has served in a variety of operational and support roles, deploying multiple times to both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Seth holds a M.P.A. in International Security Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a B.S. from the United States Military Academy.
